Book Meme

with 2 comments

Les Prouty of Reformation Faith Today has tagged me with the Book Meme.

I am supposed to pick up the nearest book with at least 123 pages, turn to the 123rd page, find the 5th sentence and post the three sentences immediately after that. The nearest book was Concordia: The Lutheran Confessions — A Reader’s Edition of the Book of Concord

Works are always rightly praised in this way: they are pleasing because of faith. For works do not please without Christ as the Atoning Sacrifice. “Through Him we have also obtained access [to God]” (Romans 5:2), not by works without Christ as Mediator.

Now I am supposed to tag five other people. So, I will tag:
Bill Lueg
Junior Duran
Bob Hayton
Barry Wallace
And, my brand new online friend, Orycteropus Afer, a confessing Lutheran :)

Have fun guys! :)

“Don’t Buy Stuff”… Saturday Night Live with Steve Martin. Funny, and yet great advice. Sorry, I can’t get it to embed on this free blog, but you can watch it here on Hulu.
