New Commenters Notice
I am so busy lately, that I think about shutting down the blog altogether. But, hopefully life will slow down a bit. I really don’t have time to moderate and respond to comments right now. I’m going to leave comments open for previously approved commenters… unless you all get too controversial on me.
For now… new commenters can leave a comment and I will hopefully read and respond… sometime. Until I am able to read and respond to the new commenters, your comment will be held in moderation and will not show up on the blog. This could last for weeks or months. Sorry for the lack of interaction. But, I must keep my priorities in order.
I still try to hang out on Twitter if you would like to look me up there. You can find my Twitter link in the sidebar. Blessings to all.
Would You Give Me 60 Seconds of Your Time?
Some of you may know that WordPress.com no longer provides RSS feed statistics. I really miss this feature since most of my readers are RSS subscribers. So, I signed up with Feedburner to provide me RSS stats. However, Feedburner will not count your subscription unless you subscribe through the Feedburner RSS. I have provided appropriate links below. I appreciate you taking the time to resubscribe using one of the links below or the RSS link in the sidebar of the blog (not the one in your browser). I have also added the Feedburner e-mail option, if you are interested. Thank you!Subscribe in a reader

WHAT IS REFORMED THEOLOGY?
I ran across this concise, well written explanation of Reformed Theology on the Christ the King Church website. Here is their description of Reformed Theology and the Five Solas of the Reformation.
WHAT IS REFORMED THEOLOGY?
Reformed theology views Scripture as the progressive revelation of God’s Covenantal relationship to His people. Christ is the thematic center. Believing that Scripture is the revelation of God’s redemptive work in Christ (rather than principles for unlocking human potential) is “Reformed”.
The label “Reformed” is used to describe the ministries of St. Augustine, Martin Luther, John Calvin, and many other well-known ministers of the Gospel. Puritan, Presbyterian, Lutheran, and Baptist historically connote Reformed theology. God providentially moves in church history to reform the church in the midst of its lapses into man-centered religion.
THE REFORMATION’S “FIVE SOLAS”
SCRIPTURE ALONE! Scripture is inerrant, the sole source of written divine revelation, including God’s grace in Christ. II Tim 3:16,17
CHRIST ALONE! While Scripture contains moral instruction, its primary message from Genesis to Revelation is the redemptive work of Christ. Jn 5:39; I Pet 1:10,11; Rom 3:21, 22
GRACE ALONE! It is the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit that brings us to Christ by releasing us from our bondage to sin and resurrecting us from spiritual death to life. Jn 6:29, 44, 65; I Cor 12:3
FAITH ALONE! Only full reliance on Christ justifies the sinner who rests on the merits of Christ alone. Romans 3:21-26
TO GOD ALONE BE GLORY! The Reformation message is God-centered, not focused on human potential. Salvation is of God for His glory not man’s.

About me… Renee Ann
God and Church: The most important thing to me is a person… God, Himself. My prayer is that Christ will be my ever-increasing treasure and that God will use this bent stick to cause others to see and savor Christ. I’ve been a Christian since I was a young girl. We are currently transitioning from the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) to the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS) .
Lifestyle and Education: Even without children, I manage to be a very busy housewife. I like to listen to sermons, audio-books, and “radio” magazines while I do housework, gardening and other projects. I have a B. A. in Business Administration with emphasis in marketing and statistics. I worked in a large corporation for ten years and enjoyed employing both marketing and statistical skills during those years. Johnny and I have been very happily married for eight years. We are childless and in our forties. We love doing almost everything together; Johnny is my best friend. We like gardening, reading, hiking and exploring nature together. Johnny likes to hunt, fish, and watch football. He usually buys me a new electronic gadget before football season, so we make it through the season happily. Bribes can be a good thing.
A random list of some of my favorite stuff, things, people, authors:
coffee, web-surfing, reading, iPods, outdoor zydeco concerts, botanical gardens, C. S. Lewis, thunder-storms, hiking, gardening, folk music, zydeco, jazz, classical, acoustic guitar, beach music– but I can do without the beach : ) LOST, NCIS, Numbers, Psych, Monk, Miss Marple, action films, The Holy Bible—ESV Edition, The Chronicles of Narnia, C.
